Pet Connect is a fictional app created as part of the SMU UX Design Certificate Program, demonstrating the full UX design process. The project begins with user research to understand the needs and pain points of pet owners who board their pets as well as employees at dog boarding facilities. From there, workflows were mapped out to ensure a seamless, intuitive user experience. Sketches and high-fidelity design comps were developed to visually represent the app’s interface, focusing on user-centric design principles. Finally, user testing was conducted to gather feedback and refine the app’s usability, ensuring the final design met the needs of the target audience. The result is a user-friendly app that improves the pet care experience and provides a solid foundation for future development.
